With the recent addition of Nintendo Switch Lite to the Nintendo Switch family, Nintendo announced that Nintendo Switch has sold more than 10 million units in Europe.
In Europe, the sales of Nintendo Switch hardware has increased year by year. Hardware sales increased by nearly 30% year-on-year in 2019, an increase of more than 40% over the same period in 2017.
Stephan Bole, head of Nintendo's Europe, said: "The Nintendo Switch series is loved by millions of players in Europe. This milestone sales once again proves its wide appeal."
“The sales of Nintendo Switch hardware and games in Europe are growing significantly every year, which gives new players and old players a lot of choices, and they will have more choices in the future.”
Since the release of the Nintendo Switch in March 2017, European Switch players have purchased more than 36 million Nintendo-issued games, and nine of Nintendo's games have sold more than 1 million in Europe:
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition
Super Mario Odyssey
The Legend of Zelda, the Wilderness
"Bao Ke Meng Let’s Go! Pikachu / Ibrahimovic
"Nintendo Stars Big Fighting Special Edition"
"New Super Mario Brothers U Deluxe Edition"
Not only that, but many third parties have also launched a variety of Switch games, including "My World", "The Crash Wolf Trilogy" and so on. "Maliou + Crazy Bunny: The Battle of the Kingdom" and "Star Dew" have sold more than 500,000 copies in Europe.
In 2019, Nintendo players in Europe still have a rich game worth looking forward to. Whether it is Luigi Ocean Pavilion 3, Baoke Dream Sword/Shield or Fitness Ring Adventure, they have a bright future.
