Xbox is a video game brand founded by Microsoft. It includes a series of video game consoles developed by Microsoft from the sixth to the eighth generation, as well as applications (games), streaming services, and online services Xbox Live. The brand was first launched in the United States on November 15, 2001 with the launch of the original Xbox game console.
The original equipment was the first electronic game console launched by American companies after the discontinuation of the Yadali Jaguar in 1996. The head of the Xbox is Phil Spencer; he replaced the former director Mark Wheaton in late March 2014. On November 7, 2017, the Xbox One X Xbox One X, an upgraded version of the Xbox One, was officially released.
